Spidey chills by Avengers Tower in delightful 'Homecoming' poster

The message is clear: everybody relax, your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is exactly where he's meant to be (note the Avengers tower in the NYC backdrop).

A very laid back Spidey dons a yellow leather jacket over his signature suit as he lounges on a wall next to the river with the NY skyline on the other side in the first poster released from Spider-Man: Homecoming on Friday. The first trailer for Tom Holland's initial solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe debuted back in December, so it stands to reason that a new trailer should be coming very soon.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have released two posters for Spider-Man: Homecoming, including one through comic writer Dan Slott's Twitter feed. Here is the official synopsis for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Its interesting just how much of a different feel each poster gives.

The poster is also a subtle reminder that Spider-Man is finally part of the MCU's Avengers storyline. Produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.).

Jon Watts directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley, Christopher Ford, Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.

Now, movie fans are about to find out why this is fantastic news for the iconic web-slinger: the new Spider-Man: Homecoming poster immediately establishes this is not going to be your typical Spider-Man movie.
