Monday evening and into Tuesday morning Xbox users were having issues accessing the games they purchased on their devices, Xbox Support first tweeted about the issue around 8:30 Monday night and by 3 a.m. Tuesday it had tweeted again saying the issue had been resolved.
Some users are reporting problems with other Microsoft services including its XBox gaming platform.
According to a service status update posted on Office.com, users of Outlook and OneDrive "may be intermittently unable to sign in to the service".
DownDetector, a site that tracks when services go out, showed spikes in problems for both Outlook and Xbox Live on Tuesday afternoon.
Skype's Heartbeat site notes that users are now experiencing program sending messages and singing in.
An outage on Tuesday is keeping users of several Microsoft online services from logging into their accounts.
There is a hiccup in Xbox Live services that is affecting quite a few Xbox owners. Microsoft warns that if you skipped this step when setting up your Xbox you'll have to fill it in when prompted.
