The cast shake-up comes after British broadcaster BBC lost the rights to air Bake Off previous year to rival Channel 4, prompting former hosts Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins to leave.
And after months of speculation we've FINALLY been put out of our misery as the full line-up for the new show has been revealed.
In terms of generation and reputation, Prue Leith is about as near to a like-for-like Mary Berry replacement as it would be possible to find, although her slightly spikier style suggests that she and Paul Hollywood will be more of a spice-and-spice combination than his salt-and-sugar double-act with Berry.
The Great British Bake Off will air on Channel 4 this autumn (17). I've always loved brightly colored cakes and Sandi Toksvig so this is a dream come true for me!
Toksvig returns the compliment, saying, "It is an extraordinary honor to be part of this national treasure of a show".
The pair have praised new judge Prue Leith and hosting duo Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, following their appointment on Thursday (16 March).
Appearing on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on Friday (17.03.17), she said: "I don't think it matters if they can bake or not I'm not sure whether Mel and Sue could bake". I spend my daytimes on Channel 4 already so it will be a treat to be there in the evenings.
Presenters Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding will host the new series of Bake Off.
The hit show is moving to Channel 4 after the BBC lost its contract to broadcast it. "If Noel Fielding can do "Bake Off" I'm replacing Len on "Strictly".
The revamped show will be up against a rival BBC cookery show called The Big Family Cooking, which will see former Bake Off champion Nadiya Hussain present a family cooking competition with Zoe Ball and chefs Rosemary Shrager and Giogio Locatelli as judges.
Hunt added: "Paul and Prue have huge amounts of expertise and warmth". Sandi and Noel bring a fresh wit and quirkiness to the tent.
Bread expert Hollywood said he "could not be more delighted" about the newcomers, after his former colleagues Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc quit the show. Prue is a hugely respected culinary legend and Sandi and Noel are warm and utterly hilarious.
Now, though, things are going back to normal-as normal as anything involving The Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding can be, anyway.
'That's his new challenge now so we just have to wait and see, again we can't knock it till we try it so we just have to wait and see what they've both got to offer, ' he added.
She was referencing the now-ex Top Gear presenter's failed attempt after his predecessors Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May left the motoring show.
"She emailed me after the show".
