Penn State continues to perform well in US News graduate school rankings

UVa's School of Law remained in the top 10, keeping its No. 8 ranking. Methodologies for each of the 2018 rankings are available online. The jump into the top 100 comes nearly four years after the university bought the downtown law school from Texas Wesleyan University for $73.2 million.

The Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU was ranked fourth in the country among internationalThe top seven were the University of South Carolina, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Thunderbird, Stanford, Berkeley and the University of MI.

Texas A&M joins other Texas law schools in the top 100. Columbia, Georgetown and New York University tied for eighth place, followed by the University of Southern California. programs, higher than Stanford, Columbia and Georgetown.

The program is tied at No. 6 with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Princeton University, the University of Texas, Austin, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

UCSF also has top schools of dentistry and pharmacy, but dental schools are not ranked by U.S. News, and the magazine did not rank pharmacy schools this year.

Yale University's law school continues to be ranked No. 1 in the nation, according to the U.S. News list.

The U.S. News & World Report guidebook annually ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law and medicine.

The Pratt School of Engineering was in a tie for 29th among the nation's top graduate programs in that field (up from 30th last year), and tied for sixth in the specialty category of Biomedical/Bioengineering.

The Tickle College of Engineering graduate program is 33rd among public universities, up three spots.

The school made an impressive debut in the environmental engineering rankings, placing No. 70 in the nation in that discipline. Data from peer assessment in other areas is collected on a rotating basis. Among business-school specialty programs, Seattle University's accounting program ranked 14th, and its executive MBA program ranked 12th. Located in Waco, Baylor welcomes students from all 50 states and more than 80 countries to study a broad range of degrees among its 12 nationally recognized academic divisions. The UW had the highest-ranking part-time MBA program in the state for working professionals, coming in at 18th; Seattle U's program was ranked 75th, and Gonzaga's program was ranked 89th.
