The Rs 303 plan offers 28 days validity and daily high-speed 4G data limit of 1GB. But then even out of the 1GB plan, only 500MB can be used in daytime whereas the other 500MB can be used in the night from 3 A.M to 5 A.M.

The promotional offer is available for 4G handset users who opt for it before 31 March.

Non-Prime members will receive 2.5GB of data for 28 days if they recharge with the Rs.303 tariff.

While Airtel and Vodafone have announced their own plans to counter Jio, Idea cellular also announced its own plan for its customers.

The Rs.342 plan offers unlimited calling along with 28GB of data per month with FUP of 1GB per day. Just days after the company announced the debut of the Jio Prime Membership and the associated plans, today we have reports of two plans from within the Prime Membership getting an upgrade.

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is targeting a revenue market share of 50% for Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd by 2021, the company said in the first guidance it has provided analysts on its telecom business.

Just to recall, Reliance Jio achieved the 100 Million subscribers milestone a few days ago, and to celebrate the offer, the telecom giant launched Prime offer for the existing subscribers. Though Reliance Jio will start to charge customers from April 1, it has announced a slew of aggressive prepaid and postpaid plans. The new Jio plan will cost less than Rs 10 per GB, but the plan is not FUP free. This means, 28GB data through the 28-day monthly cycle.

For Vodafone customers, there is no membership required to avail the offer.

Vodafone has also launched a plan to take on Jio Prime. The company will also offer free calls under this plan.

The telco is also offering unlimited local and STD calls under this plan. However, according to a report by NDTV Gadgets360, "in order to check for your eligibility, you can download the "My Idea" app from the Google Play store on Android and App Store on iOS". This is similar to what Reliance Jio is offering at Rs. 149 - however, you still get unlimited calls to any number in India on Jio Prime. "Its huge data capacity, estimated to reach 60% of FY21 estimated data capacity over the next one year, should allow it to garner a high market share", they said. Users can subscribe for Jio Prime membership by paying Rs. 99, and thereafter enjoy 1 GB data daily with unlimited calls and messaging for just Rs. 303. One can alternatively speak with customer care.
