Sources in the CRPF said the video, which has been uploaded on social media, was shot when the constable was deployed in Rajasthan a few months ago. Unless and until report comes the image of the army or the BSF should not be hampered. CRPF takes national as well as global missions. A full report is being prepared by a DIG-rank officer of the BSF based in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jeet also mentioned that the CRPF jawans are asked to attend various tasks, right from securing any religious event to being on election duty, but still they are deprived of the facilities. We don't even get medical facilities.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has now sought a report from the Home Ministry after a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Tej Bahadur Yadav, posted a video complaining about the bad quality of food being served to the soldiers, reports said on Thursday.

But, Singh said, instead of investigating the issue, his superiors began harassing him and also initiated an enquiry, which could potentially result in his court-martial.

A statement by Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju in which he said the government had sent experts and dietitians to each and every post of the border to check out the quality of food being served to Jawans must be as per the norms.

"The constable has not complained about any organization and has only voiced his aspiration". CRPF Director General Durga Prasad told ANI: "He raised issues (that are) already being discussed. Despite doing all these duties, there is a big difference between the facilities provided to the Indian Army and CRPF".

However, refuting the allegations labelled by soldier Tej Bahadur, the BSF earlier on Tuesday accused the latter of indulging in indiscipline act and added that it is a sensitive matter for the forces. Another retired IPS officer, who worked in BSF but requested anonymity, said that government provides cash for ration of BSF jawans at worldwide border with Pakistan or Bangladesh.

It clarified that the issue of pay parity has been brought out by all central armed police forces through the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission.

"Otherwise, how would we know what is happening in the frontier areas and with the troops there?" his son said.
