Elsewhere a high-definition video claiming to compare the iPhone 7 with its predecessor, the iPhone 6S, was published by a manufacturer of audio accessories.

Meanwhile, in a related report, it is said that Apple is set to release three variants of the iPhone 7: the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus, and the iPhone 7 Pro.

Spotted over at Weibo (via NWE), the iPhone 7 would be the lone 4.7-inch screen model with the iPhone 7 Pro and Plus looking fairy the same with a bigger mold. Reliable tipster Evan Blass bats that there will be only two new models and that they will be codenamed "Sonora" and "Dos Palos". Even before the rumored iPhone 7 release date in September, sources are already claiming that the iPhone 8 launch is the one to watch out for as noteworthy upgrades are sure to be added.

Earlier, the rumors mill said that Apple will release four new models this year.

Other iPhone 7 rumors also revealed that the iPhone 7 might be opting out of its 64GB storage option. While the fourth model will arrive later this year.

The expected price range for the new iPhone 7 is projected to be similar to that of iPhone 6, which might indeed be a bargain given its new design and features.

Of course, this isn't the only iPhone 7 leak we've been graced with today.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is anxious about the declining iPhone sales. Rumor has it that Apple will offer a new type of headphones in the box featuring this kind of connector, but adapters will also be sold separately.

The design is also likely to be tweaked.

The antenna lines at the back of both the phones have been moved up. It is also highly likely that the iPhone 7 will be available in Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold colors.

While there is no way to confirm if the photos are of a legitimate phone, they do confirm some of the previous rumours on Apple's eagerly anticipated new handset and suggest that the Cupertino firm could be about to release three new phones as part of the expected launch in September.
