Gaga has recently let her voice do all the talking.

The Paparazzi singer told the NFL: "I've always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl".

According to Sky News, the singer's rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, sent the Internet into overdrive.

"This is one of the highest honors of my career", she added. If Gaga had dropped the mic after her gorgeous performance, she would have been completely justified!

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga joined Snapchat to bring us the freshest updates in the lead-up to her performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, and her snap chat has literally become our new favourite thing.

Actress Marlee Matlin also signed the anthem while she sung. And, "Exactly how much eyeshadow was she wearing?" She gave a stellar performance of the national anthem backed with just a piano accompaniment and an Air Force jets fly over finale while thumping her chest (similar to a Celine Dion chest pound manner) that left the crowd with goosebumps.

Gaga is slated to perform a special tribute to the late David Bowie during music's biggest night.

Gaga donned a red sequined jumpsuit for the performance, with talk show host Ellen joking the outfit actually belonged to her.

And with Beyonce's world tour announcement through her very own Super Bowl commercial, searches spiked for the singer's name even after the performance.

Snapping a string of selfies and videos for social media, the sunglass-clad star looked like she was having a blast as she got in the Super Bowl spirit. "They've been around a long time, so I thought about what they mean now, I just sang from my heart", she said.

"Best song ever Ronson Bruno", she captioned it as Mars joined the stage to his Uptown Funk.
