Lady Gaga's national anthem dream comes true

With Lady Gaga singing the anthem at Levi's Stadium this year, the over/under was set at a lengthy two minutes and 20 seconds, far longer than what the average time has been at recent Super Bowls.

"Another tweeted: "@ladygaga you absolutely killed it. Definitely one of, if not the best performance of the National Anthem at the super bowl ever".

Gaga's performance went over well in the world, even with those just now discovering that the Lady has some pipes.

The American singer turned a bit emotional after she performed America's national anthem, which she performed alongside a pianist inside the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Daily Mail reported Monday.

However, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Bovada timed Gaga at 2:09 (the first "brave" she sang) meaning the under would hit.

The New Yorker's performance comes before the long-awaited half time show featuring Coldplay and Beyonce. Wearing a sparkling red suit and matching eye shadow, the 29-year-old had a more toned down appearance compared to her once famous meat dress, embellishments and leotards.

In addition to Gaga and Bennett, Smith has performed with celebrated jazz artists Louie Bellson, Buddy DeFranco and Carl Allen, as well as with actress and singer Megan Hilty. "I just thought about the lyrics and what they really mean", she said.

However, over the past year, Lady Gaga has taken more control of her career and has proven what a talented singer she truly is.

Gaga's performance was, she says, inspired by Whitney Houston's legendary rendition of the Star Spangled Banner (which presently racks up almost 5 million views on YouTube).
