The 'GuyFi' can be found on 28th street and 5th avenue, complete with a chair, laptop, and curtain so you can yank the ole one-eyed, purple-headed yogurt slinger in peace like the good Lord intended.
The manufacturer Hot Octopuss, a NY and London based sex toy company explains about their masturbation machine: Our products combine science and innovation to bring sex toys into the 21st century.
The company, Hot Octopuss, launched the booth following a survey by Time Out, in which a remarkable 39% of New Yorkers admitted to "self-soothing" in the workplace to alleviate stress. The booth would give busy Manhattan men privacy and high-speed Internet connection - presumably to watch porn - while taking the habit out of the office and "into a more suitable environment".
The booths, much like telephone boxes, are placed on streets around the city, but unlike telephone boxes, they're completely free to bash one out in.
According to reports, approximately 100 men used the booth on its inaugural day. "We're told time and time again how beneficial it is to have a break away from your desk", said Adam Lewis, Hot Octopuss co-founder.
A representative of Hot Octupuss said in a statement that: 'the brand is not actively encouraging people to masturbate in public as that is an illegal offense'.
Hot Octopuss' newest solution to "improve everyday life" is as inconspicuous as a phone booth to the casual bystander, but only its patrons and the good Lord knows what goes on inside. They are also making health benefits of masturbation well-known - as we can see.
